| Changing the World, One Message at a Time |
A hippo flipped and snacked on his canoe, a mountain gorilla used him as a chair
and a volcano came within 30 seconds of vaporizing him. You would think Nature
would treat one of its strongest advocates a bit more gently.
Mike Rosen is a man who wears many hats. He serves as Managing Principal for
PRR and is nationally recognized as a visionary communications innovator and
strategist. Mike is a presenter, businessman, facilitator, innovator, market
transformer and filmmaker.
He has worked with a diverse number of organizations including Nike, Starbucks, Philips Sonicare, U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Environmental initiatives
he has helped advance range from front load washing machines to compact fluorescent light bulbs, to natural
lawn care, transportation alternatives, reduction of hazardous waste, improved air quality, water conservation
and even low flow toilets.
His passion for the environment started young. He and some school friends bought a tombstone and placed it
on the shore of a local river that had been badly polluted. While still in high school he got his first job as a
television photographer and left his parents at a restaurant to chase his first tornado. From there he grew into
an accomplished environmental and wildlife filmmaker. He and His wife, Sharon Howard, have joined forces
to create nature and wildlife films featuring elephants, rhinos, mountain gorillas, wolves, eagles, whales, bears
and many other wild critters in many wild places.
This work has been seen across multiple networks in multiple countries and has been recognized with some of
the industry's most prestigious national and international awards, including the Peabody, New York
International Film Festival, Chicago International Film Festival, Genesis, Emmy and IRIS awards. The
Peabody Award Committee said of their work, “Lushly produced and critically important...exceptional
photography, superior scripting and editing, and captivating original music” with the Los Angeles Times
adding, “Breathtaking in scope and execution.”
With his broad experience, Mike has been called on by Fortune 500 companies, universities, business groups,
government agencies and non profits to help provide guidance, inspiration, insights and solutions.
